About Mike Lucia
I grew up in a family of builders and remodelers, and learned a lot of what I know by working as a young boy alongside my father, grandfather and uncle on the countless houses they built over the years. I also had landscaping tasks on those family jobs which grew into my own small business when neighbors saw my landscape work and hired me to do landscaping on their properties. I worked steadily throughout my teen years building and doing landscaping. What I didn’t learn from my family business, I learned through self study, a lot of experience taking on difficult, challenging projects and my affiliation with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, National Association of Home Builders, the American Society of Interior Designers, the U.S. Green Building Council and Schluter Systems.
I have a reputation for success with difficult projects and am known for my creative abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. My goal in starting my business was and remains to positively impact the lives of people where they live – to make people happy in their homes.

My company
Mike Lucia Design Build LLC is a residential design, building and remodeling business that I started in 1988. I help you discover, clarify and achieve long and short-term goals with your home, and solve problems in order to create spaces and environments that reflect how you want to live, play, entertain and relax in your space.
I partner with clients who value an all-inclusive, personalized, creative approach to the building and remodeling process. My process focuses on taking the time to understand you, your wants, needs and unique living situation; I do this through listening, understanding, discovery and feedback.
I take that time with you so that we will get to know each other and build a trusting relationship. In this way, together we will create the changes in your home that will reflect who you are and enhance how you live in your home.
I offer complete space planning, floor plan layout, color coordination and selection of finishes. I also offer Green building and remodeling. Through partnerships I have cultivated over the years, I also offer my own team for all plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical and painting. Through another important partnership, I provide structural engineering for my projects when needed.
